of the Digital Age's company Director James Neary begins a walk in memory of a very close friend Mick Moran tomorrow September 30th 2018. The walk recreates a journey Mick Moran himself and the lads undertook in 2004, raising almost €10,000 for charity.

Mick was the son of Michael and Margaret, the eldest of 3 and father of a beautiful girl, Sophie. He started his career with ESB and was very proud to be part of the organisation. He got his engineering degree with GMIT in Galway and completed his Masters with UCD. Upon completion he was promoted regularly within ESB Networks. He joined the FCA (as it was) in 1998 and excelled up the ranks to Quartermaster. He took great pride in every challenge he undertook and put everything into achieving it and celebrating his successes. Mick took his own life on 06 October 2017.

Mick's brother, James Brendan and Dave are going to retrace their steps, without Mick by their side. But they are bringing his backpack with them. On this symbolic journey they will share the load of Mick backpack amongst them walk as they walk the 200km from Eyre Square in Galway to Kinlough in Letrim.

The walk will take place over 7 days. It is intended as a reminder of the importance of the service that Pieta House provides. There are very few homes in Ireland with families who have not been impacted by the suicide of a family member, friend or neighbour. This is a very important cause and one we would ask you to come out and support if you live along the route.

Even before the walk has commenced there has been an incredible display of generosity by people to support this much needed service. You can also make a donation online through this link. DONATE HERE
