However, hiding the number does not remove all location information. Grindr explains that profiles may still appear in the Grid according to proximity. As a result, another user may still estimate your general location.

Block a Profile
Grindr allows users to block profiles when they no longer want contact.
Open the relevant profile and select the Block control.
Blocking prevents the profiles from seeing or communicating with each other through the normal Grindr interface.
