HBO MAX Safety Settings are available for use for the online platform through web browsers and through the App on digital devices. An email account will be required to set up an account.

How to set up Parental Controls on a PC
- Open the https://www.hbomax.com/website
- Log in to your account
- Once logged in to your account select the Profile Icon in the top right corner of the screen
- Now select Parental Controls from the right sidebar
- You will be prompted to create a new Parental Control Pin Number for your account
- Enter a Pin Number you will remember and select Create Pin
- Select Parental Control to edit the control options in accordance with the age of the child
How to set up Parental Controls on a Smartphone
- Open the HBO Max app on your device
- Select the profile icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen
- Once it opens select the Gear Icon in the top left hand corner of the screen to access the App settings
- Now select Parental Controls
- When prompted enter a new Pin Number for your account and select Create Pin
- Once the Parental Pin is created, it is applied to every child profile associated with your HBO Max account. Once a child's profile is active, a child will not be able to switch to a different profile without entering the parental lock pin
