Would Big Tech Embrace an Analytics Free System?
An analytics free system would show only posts from accounts users follow. From a capitalist view, big tech will not embrace it freely if it reduces time on platform and advertising revenue. Experts on both sides disagree on the strength of harm evidence and the value of chronological alternatives. Regulation can force the option. Design and defaults will still favour the engagement engine.
