Dola safety settings help parents review the assistant at dola.com. It offers help with writing, study questions, translation and creative tasks. Young people may also encounter bots and shared content. Therefore, review the actual app and account rather than assuming every Dola branded product has the same controls.
For parents, begin with the age rules and the service your family actually uses. Then review the controls below with the eligible account holder. In addition, revisit permissions after an update. A missing option should never be treated as an active protection.

Age Rating and Child Safety Warning
Dola’s terms set a baseline minimum age of 13 and require parental permission for users under 18. Higher regional age rules and restrictions on availability can apply. Its privacy policy describes extra safeguards and unavailable features for younger users. These are provider rules, separate from an app store age classification. Read the current account guidance.
Check the regional supplement before creating an account, and use the genuine age. Parental permission cannot override a higher local minimum or an unavailable teen service. If an age appeal asks for evidence, check the official notice and data handling before submitting documents. An age check cannot guarantee suitable conversations. Review the relevant provider guidance.
Restrictions Available
Set Device Limits with Family Link
For an eligible supervised Android device, a parent can limit access to the app. This is a device control rather than an AI content filter.
- Parent: Open Family Link and select your child.
- Next, open Screen time, Time limits and App limits. Select Dola.
- Finally, choose Set limit and save the agreed allowance, or use Block when access is unsuitable.
Why it matters: A device limit cannot make an ineligible account acceptable. Also review browser access and other devices, because an app limit does not cover every route.
Use Screen Time on iPhone or iPad
Family Sharing allows parents to manage a child’s Screen Time. Set this up with the child’s own Apple Account.
- Parent: Open iPhone Settings, then Screen Time and select the child under Family.
- Next, open App Limits, select Add Limit and select Dola if installed. Set the allowance and add the limit.
- Finally, review Downtime and protect changes with a Screen Time passcode the child does not know.
Why it matters: Review exceptions and other ways to reach the service. However, time limits do not inspect generated answers or replace the provider’s age requirements.
Dola Safety Settings
Some Dola safety settings depend on the device, region or account. For example, an app control may not apply to a website or a separate product using the same model. Read confirmation messages carefully, and pause if the available option differs from the task you intend.
Dola: Opt Out of Model Training
Dola’s training FAQ says the opt out applies to new conversations.
- Open your account’s user settings in the official Dola service.
- Next, find the model training choices and switch off the relevant toggles. Read their descriptions before leaving the panel.
- Finally, if they are not visible, ask privacy@mail.dola.com how to apply the training opt out to your account.
Why it matters: This is not a deletion request for earlier information. In addition, other processing needed to operate or protect the service can continue.
Review Enhanced Personalisation
The privacy policy says account settings include an enhanced personalisation choice. It does not publish one exact menu path for every app version.
- Open the account’s user settings and review the personalisation choices and their descriptions.
- Next, turn off enhanced personalisation if you do not want that additional use. Ask privacy@mail.dola.com for help if it is missing.
- Finally, review profile details and remove unnecessary identifiers wherever the account allows edits.
Why it matters: A choice about personalisation does not turn off every data use. Therefore, keep private details out of prompts and check the policy for your location.
Dola: Review Bots and External Integrations
A bot or integration can send information beyond the main assistant.
- Before opening a bot or connecting another service, read its description and the permission notice.
- Next, decline access to contacts, private files or other accounts unless there is a clear need. Check the third party’s own privacy terms.
- Finally, if access was granted through another provider, review its authorised connections and revoke any connection you no longer need.
Why it matters: A training switch inside Dola cannot control every outside developer. Also avoid entering family information into a bot merely because it appears inside the app.
Review Camera, Microphone and Location Permissions
Device permissions control access to sensors and selected files. Give only the access needed for the current task.
- On Android, open device Settings, Apps and Dola. Open Permissions.
- Next, select each permission and choose Don’t allow for unnecessary access. For a needed feature, choose a limited option where the phone offers it.
- Finally, on iPhone or iPad, open Settings and Privacy & Security. Review Microphone, Camera, Photos and Location Services for this app.
Why it matters: Permissions do not remove files or recordings already uploaded. Therefore, keep other people out of voice and camera sessions and review access after updates.
Dola: Protect Sign In and Recovery Access
Use a separate eligible account and keep its recovery method private. This is practical account protection, rather than a claim that this app offers a particular security switch.
- Use a unique password wherever you create a password for Dola. Protect the email inbox used for recovery.
- Next, if you sign in with Google or Apple, open that provider’s account security settings and enable its additional sign in verification.
- Finally, sign out on shared computers. Never give another person a login code, even if a message claims to come from support.
Why it matters: A person with account access may read saved conversations. In addition, a secure login cannot stop a user voluntarily sharing private material.
Request a Copy, Correction or Deletion
A privacy request can address information that ordinary chat controls do not resolve.
- Open the official Dola privacy policy and check the current contact details.
- Next, write to privacy@mail.dola.com from the account’s registered email where possible. State whether you want access, correction or deletion.
- Finally, describe the information concerned without sending passwords. If support requests identity evidence, verify the request and ask what is necessary before providing it.
Why it matters: Rights depend on your circumstances and may have exceptions. Keep the request and response so you can follow up with the appropriate authority.
Dola: Delete an Unwanted Account
Dola’s terms allow deletion through its settings page or assistance from support.
- Open the official service’s account settings and follow the account deletion procedure.
- Next, if you cannot complete it, contact feedback@dola.com for assistance.
- Finally, keep any required evidence first and read the final warning before confirming.
Why it matters: The deleted account cannot be reactivated and its content cannot be retrieved. Therefore, review any paid renewal separately before closing it.
Check App Store Renewals
If the receipt shows an app store subscription, cancel through that store. Deleting the app is a separate action.
- For Apple billing, open Settings, your name and Subscriptions. Select Dola and Cancel Subscription if available.
- Next, for Google Play billing, open Play Store, the profile icon, Payments & subscriptions and Subscriptions. Select the subscription and Cancel subscription.
- Finally, follow the confirmation prompts and check the expiry date. For a different billing provider, use the route on the receipt.
Why it matters: Removing an account may not stop a store renewal. Therefore, retain the cancellation confirmation and check the account that actually paid.
Dola Safety Settings for Billing Support
A refund request is separate from cancelling renewal. Dola’s terms give an additional support route for purchases outside Google Play.
- Check the receipt and cancel renewal through its billing provider before the current subscription period ends.
- Next, for a refund request outside Google Play, open Dola’s Settings, then Help and Feedback. Include the purchase details without sending full payment card information.
- Finally, use Google Play’s refund procedure for a Google Play purchase. Keep both the cancellation confirmation and any refund decision.
Why it matters: A refund is not guaranteed, and applicable consumer rights can differ. Therefore, do not assume a support request alone has stopped the next charge.
Dola: Manage Website Cookies
Cookie preferences apply to browsing rather than all the information in an account.
- Open Dola’s Web Cookies Policy.
- Next, use its Website Cookie Settings Tool where offered in your region and refuse optional categories you do not want.
- Finally, save the choice and review it again if you switch browser or clear site data.
Why it matters: Necessary cookies may remain. However, refusing optional cookies does not erase conversations or change every model training choice.
Understand the Remaining Limits
The public documents confirm training and enhanced personalisation choices, but do not identify their exact current toggle labels or a complete chat, memory and shared link deletion workflow. Ask support when a control is unclear. A linked parent dashboard and enforced family time limit have not been verified. Device limits offer a separate restriction, rather than a guarantee about generated content.
How to Use Dola Safely
Check that the app links to dola.com and the published Spring service terms. Do not apply this guide to an unrelated calendar bot with a similar name. Likewise, Doubao has its own Chinese service and controls. Review any conversation before sharing it, avoid personal images and keep study use separate from friendship or emotional support.
Review Dola safety settings together with the eligible account holder. Then practise checking an answer against its original source. For example, verify a quotation on the actual page before using it in schoolwork. Keep passwords, addresses and private photographs out of prompts, even when a training choice is off.
Essential Safety Advice and Current Concerns
AI can make persuasive mistakes and produce harmful material. A friendly voice can also encourage someone to reveal private details or rely too heavily on a conversation. Therefore, explain that an assistant cannot replace a trusted adult, teacher or qualified professional.
For families, agree a simple response to an uncomfortable interaction. Stop the chat, keep relevant evidence and tell someone who can help. If another person uses generated images or messages to pressure a child, avoid blaming the child. Instead, protect their privacy and seek appropriate safeguarding support.
Report a Worrying Interaction
Dola’s published support address provides a route when a reply or account causes concern.
- Use the official service’s feedback route or email feedback@dola.com.
- Describe the bot, reply and approximate time. Share only the evidence needed, with unrelated personal details removed.
Why it matters: Reporting does not stop the current conversation. Therefore, leave an uncomfortable chat and involve a trusted person while support reviews the issue.
CODA offers education and training rather than emergency monitoring. For an immediate safety concern, seek urgent help through the appropriate local service. In addition, return to an ordinary conversation with the young person after reporting. A platform reply alone cannot explain how the experience affected them.
Platform Support and Regional Differences
Families in Ireland, the UK and the USA should check the agreement attached to the actual service and account. An account age rule is separate from a privacy consent rule. Likewise, a parent’s permission does not override a provider’s stricter eligibility requirement. Do not bypass an unavailable regional service.
For privacy concerns, first use the provider’s published request route. Irish families can consult the Data Protection Commission’s parent guidance. UK readers can use ICO public guidance, while US readers can consult FTC children’s privacy guidance. These explain support and rights rather than certifying an app as safe.
Dola Safety Settings Checklist
- First, confirm the current account age rule and regional availability.
- Next, review training, saved information and any relevant memory choices.
- Also check sharing, external connections and device permissions.
- Then protect sign in, recovery access and any payment method.
- Finally, practise reporting and agree a trusted person to contact.
Dola Safety Settings FAQ
Is Dola suitable for every child?
No. Start with the current age requirement and the individual child’s needs. For example, a service intended for adults does not become suitable because a parent shares a login. Controls reduce particular risks, but they cannot guarantee suitable answers.
Does deleting history remove everything?
No. History, memory, feedback, published material and copies shared elsewhere can require different actions. Therefore, check what each deletion message actually covers. Ask the provider about information you cannot manage directly.
Can device limits replace account rules?
No. Device limits control access on supported devices, while the service’s eligibility rules still apply. In addition, other devices and browsers can offer a different route. Review these together rather than relying on a single switch.
