Kindroid lets adults create AI companions with persistent context, generated images and voice conversations. It also offers social profiles, shared characters and optional links to real world information. This Kindroid safety settings guide helps parents recognise the adult service and understand controls that reduce exposure, interruptions and data sharing.

Age Rating and Child Safety Warning
Kindroid’s current interface is V2. V1 and its switch back option were retired on 1 October 2026. Likewise, unlimited free messaging and the Lite model were retired. An expired preview or subscription now leaves a read only account, with export and deletion still available.
Kindroid requires users to be 18 or older. It offers adult AI companions, voice conversations, generated media and community features. It is not a child account service. Parental permission does not remove the adult age requirement.
Kindroid documents age checks involving payment eligibility and, for some accounts, Yoti age estimation or identity checks. These routes vary with the account and region. A payment card or completed check is not a guarantee that a child cannot access an unlocked account. Read the official age verification explanation before providing a selfie or identity document.
Kindroid Safety Settings: Restrictions Available
Review these Kindroid safety settings in the account actually being used. Also, check each device because one choice may not apply everywhere.
Kindroid privacy: Keep the social profile private
Community sharing creates exposure beyond a private companion conversation.
- First, visit the relevant social profile and select its pencil edit icon.
- Next, turn on Make profile private, then select Save changes.
- Then, to remove the profile, use Delete profile from the same edit screen.
Why it matters: This hides the profile and its posts. Deleting a social profile leaves the Kindroid itself. Previously copied material can remain elsewhere.
Kindroid: Reduce suggestive material in the Feed
The Feed has a limited suggestive content choice.
- First, open Profile, then Preferences.
- Next, keep Suggestive on Feed off.
Why it matters: This setting does not apply to Following or direct profile visits. It is not a child mode.
Report and block community contact
Use the menu attached to the concerning item.
- First, open its … menu and choose Report for a post, comment or profile.
- Next, choose Block and check the target and Block as choices before confirming.
- Then, review blocked accounts through Social, the person icon and Blocked.
Why it matters: Check whether you blocked one profile or its whole user. Blocking cannot retrieve screenshots.
Kindroid Safety Settings and Why They Matter
Kindroid: Reduce unsolicited contact and data access
Review these choices for every companion. Turning off one form of outreach may leave another active.
- First, tap the companion’s name, open General and turn off Away Proactive Actions.
- Next, under General, open Additional controls (Legacy) and disable Proactive messages and Proactive selfies if active.
- Then, turn off Live chat actions in General.
- Finally, open Calling and disable Shared chat history to stop proactive call actions.
- Next, open Profile, Preferences, Text messaging. Turn off Text messaging. Use Remove number to disconnect the verified number.
- Then, open Profile, Preferences, Geolocation, then Open. Turn its switch off. Saved places remain.
- Finally, review Connect Calendar under Profile, Preferences. Disconnect unwanted access. Ask support if the disconnect control differs.
Why it matters: Optional connections can expose daily routines or interrupt time away. Closing the app alone does not establish that these features are disabled.
Respond to an unwanted chat
- On Android, tap the concerning reply, choose Flag reply, explain the problem and select Submit report.
- For other clients, open Profile, Help and Contact support.
Why it matters: A report gives the provider information to review. Editing or regenerating a response is not a report.
Kindroid privacy: Control memory
Memory choices affect future use of information. They do not erase every stored copy.
- First, tap the Kindroid’s name, then General. Turn off Memory formation to stop new long term memories and Memory recall to stop their use in replies.
- Next, open Personality, then Learned Context. Turn off Use learned context and Suggest journal entries if unwanted.
- Then, open Journal in the Kindroid’s settings. Check both individual entries and the Global tab. Review pending suggestions and choose Dismiss instead of approving sensitive details.
- Finally, to reduce recall of a particular memory, tap the AI reply, choose Long term memory, then its crossed out eye icon and Deprioritize.
Why it matters: Journal recall remains separate. Deprioritising changes recall priority rather than deleting the information. Learned Context and journal suggestions are normally on for supported accounts.
Kindroid privacy: Shared Rooms
Rooms include other people. Private memories can appear in replies.
- First, open Room settings, Memory, then your Kin. Keep Memory Recall, Journal Recall, Share Short Term Memory and Form memories from this Room off.
- Next, review Room context separately. Choose Room only sources and Not used for Key Memories where appropriate.
- Then, to report, tap a message and choose Report. Select evidence, tap Preview report, check Report evidence, choose a Category, describe the concern and select Submit report.
- Finally, as owner, open Room settings, Members, then the person’s … menu and Block and remove.
- Next, open Room settings, Invites. Use a link’s trash icon and Revoke invite to stop further joins.
Why it matters: These four memory switches start off. Existing members remain after revocation. Reports do not automatically remove anyone. Previously formed memories and screenshots may survive.
Kindroid Safety Settings for Calls and Location
Also, review each companion as well as the account.
- First, open the companion’s General settings. For away calls, enable Quiet hours and check its times, initially 10 PM to 8 AM. Turn Missed calls in context off if unwanted.
- Next, under Away proactive actions, turn off Proactive thought bubbles if unwanted. Disable Location awareness for companions that should not receive location.
- Finally, open Profile, Preferences, Geolocation and Open. Select entries under Saved places to delete unnecessary places.
Why it matters: Quiet hours block calls rather than deliberate app use. Also, turning off location leaves saved places until deleted.
Kindroid Safety Settings and Reset Limits
However, a reset is not complete data deletion.
- First, tap the latest AI reply and choose Chat Break to reset short term context. Review its separate cascaded memory choice.
- Next, use Rewind for eligible recent messages, limited to ten.
- Finally, on a selfie message, Remove from chat removes its chat reference. Delete the gallery copy separately if unwanted.
Why it matters: Long term memories, journals and backstory can survive a chat break. Therefore, review those sources separately.
Kindroid Safety Settings for Room Activity
In addition, Room conversations involve other people and their companions.
- First, open Room settings. Use Mute Room for unwanted alerts.
- Next, under General, turn on Limit my Kins’ replies while I’m inactive and select Save changes. It starts off.
- Finally, use General, Leave Room to leave. Viewers use Room details, Members. Owners must transfer ownership or choose Delete Room instead.
Why it matters: Leaving retains messages. Deleting a Room is permanent, but memories already formed by companions may remain.
Kindroid Safety Settings for Shared Templates
Similarly, shared templates have separate discovery and moderation controls.
- On kindroid.ai, open Preferences and keep Show Suggestive Content off for narrower template discovery. This differs from the Feed setting.
- Next, in a shared template preview, use Report this kin or Block creator. Reporting in the app requires a subscription, otherwise contact official support.
- Finally, in Profile, Sharing, open a share’s menu and Edit. Turn off Allow Remixing if unwanted.
Why it matters: Filters do not restrict private chats or access by code. Also, blocking does not remove companions already created from that person’s templates.
Kindroid privacy: Reject optional analytics and advertising
Review consent separately on the website and in each app.
- On the website, open Profile, then Privacy and data usage and choose Reject analytics.
- Next, in the app privacy sheet, review the app improvement, personalised advertising and ad storage choices.
- Then, choose Reject all, or adjust the choices and select Save my choices.
Why it matters: Rejecting optional use does not stop processing needed to deliver a conversation. A browser choice may not transfer to another browser.
Kindroid: End other sessions
Use this after losing a device or suspecting account access.
- First, open Profile, Preferences and Account privacy.
- Next, beside Sign out all devices, tap Sign out, then Sign out all.
Why it matters: This ends the current session too. Secure the linked email or sign in provider before returning.
Export account data
An export contains sensitive conversations and media links.
- First, verify the account email first.
- Next, open Profile, Preferences, then Account privacy.
- Then, beside Export data, tap Export and confirm Export data.
- Finally, use the emailed download link within seven days.
Why it matters: Store the copy securely. Exports are normally limited to one request every 30 days and do not remove data.
Kindroid: Protect integration keys
An integration key can grant extensive access to the account.
- First, open Profile, Preferences, then API & Integrations and Open.
- Next, use Tap here to reveal API key only when needed.
- Then, delete an unused key or regenerate an exposed key using the available controls.
Why it matters: Never paste a key into a public chat, screenshot or unfamiliar tool. Treat an exposed key as compromised and review connected tools.
Stop sharing a companion template
Shared templates and public profiles are separate features.
- First, open Profile, then Sharing.
- Next, open the existing share’s menu and select Delete to stop sharing.
- For a retained share, select Edit, then set Visibility to Private. Unlisted still permits access by link or code.
Why it matters: Removing a share does not erase copies other people already created. Check the current sharing documentation if your menu differs.
Kindroid: Cancel renewal
Delete account data and cancel billing as separate tasks.
- First, check the receipt to identify the original seller.
- For a web purchase, open Profile, Billing, Kindroid Standard Subscription, then Manage. Complete the cancellation prompts. Cancel Ultra and MAX separately under their own entries.
- For Apple, open device Settings, your name, Subscriptions, Kindroid, then Cancel Subscription. Complete the confirmation prompts.
- For Google Play, open the Google Play Store, your profile, Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions. Choose Kindroid, tap Cancel subscription and complete the prompts.
Why it matters: Retain confirmation and check the renewal status. Additional credits and higher tiers do not provide parental safeguards.
Delete companions and account data
Deleting the last companion closes the account data after a waiting period.
- First, open Chat, then the … beside the Kindroid in your Kins list. On desktop, right click the Kindroid.
- Next, choose Delete. For an immediate deletion where available, choose Delete Now and type the Kindroid’s name.
- For the final Kindroid, choose Schedule and follow the 24 hour deletion prompts.
- If subscribed, enter I understand deleting my account does not cancel subscriptions when asked.
- Next, use Restore in the same menu before the waiting period ends if you change your mind.
Why it matters: Some billing and logistical records remain. Final deletion removes account data such as saved places and custom voices. Cancellation must still be completed separately.
How to Use Kindroid Safely
For parents who discover a child using this service, begin with a calm conversation about what they enjoy and what worries them. Then help them leave the adult service without dismissing their feelings. In addition, arrange support from a trusted adult and agree how to prevent renewed access.
- First, keep school names, home addresses, passwords, financial details and other people’s private information out of conversations.
- Next, avoid uploading intimate images, children’s photographs or recordings that reveal other people without permission.
- Then, check important advice with a qualified person. However, an affectionate or confident response can still be inaccurate.
- Finally, protect sleep, schoolwork and time with friends. For example, notice distress when access changes or the companion contradicts expectations.
Kindroid Safety Settings: Limits and Current Concerns
Discuss consent, pressure and secrecy. For example, an AI character can imitate affection, agreement or jealousy without understanding a person’s welfare. Therefore, end an interaction that encourages harmful behaviour, sexual pressure or isolation. Never follow a request to send money, reveal a password or move into an unfamiliar service.
A companion cannot replace a trusted person, professional care or emergency help. In an emergency, contact local emergency services if there is immediate danger. When reporting, preserve only the information needed. However, do not circulate intimate or abusive material.
Kindroid Support and Regional Differences
Current guidance uses Kindroid’s V2 help centre. Older V1 instructions may no longer match the interface. App and web media rules, paid features and regional checks can differ. Do not treat a content rejection, AI disclosure reminder or age check as an enforced bedtime or parent dashboard.
Before using calling or media sharing, review microphone, camera, photo and screen access on the device. End screen sharing before opening private messages or financial information. No verified native child account or parent linking route was established.
Kindroid Safety Settings Checklist
- First, confirm the adult age requirement and prevent access from a child’s account.
- Next, review recurring charges and cancel unwanted renewals through the original seller.
- Then, reduce sensitive information, optional permissions and unwanted notifications.
- Finally, report harmful replies through the documented support route.
- Finally, check the app and website separately, including other devices and accounts.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Feed filter a universal mature content restriction?
No. It affects suggestive posts in the Feed. It does not cover every conversation or community view.
Does deleting my account stop charges?
No. Kindroid explicitly separates account deletion from subscription cancellation.
