SpicyChat safety settings help parents understand access, privacy and the limits of this service. SpicyChat is an adult AI character conversation service. It includes explicit role play and user created characters. A teenager may encounter a harmless looking avatar or a link from a fandom page. However, that appearance does not change the service’s adult purpose.
Start with the age warning below. Then review the relevant controls and practical family advice. This guide explains protections and limits rather than recommending that children join a platform.

Age Rating and Child Safety Warning
SpicyChat’s Community Guidelines require all users to be at least 18. Children and teenagers should not use it, even with parental permission. An SFW browsing label does not establish a child service. Its own FAQ says characters listed as SFW can still engage in adult role play. Read the current provider guidance.
Age assurance can involve a birth date, an age estimate or an identity check, depending on the service and location. Read the actual notice before supplying evidence. Use only the provider’s official route and never a link sent by a stranger. A successful age check does not establish emotional readiness or suitable content.
SpicyChat describes regional age checks through specialist providers, including video selfies and possible document checks. It says it receives an age result rather than the evidence. Read the actual provider’s privacy notice before proceeding. Never attach an ID to a support ticket or verify an adult identity for a child.
SpicyChat Access Restrictions
Prevent Underage Access
For this adult service, access prevention takes priority over adjusting conversation preferences.
- Keep adult sign in details private and sign out on shared devices. Do not lend a signed in account to a child.
- Review the app and browser routes together. Use the family device controls below and request help closing an underage account.
Why it matters: A content preference cannot create an eligible teen account. Also check other devices and involve the young person calmly rather than blaming them.
Set Device Limits with Family Link
For an eligible supervised Android device, a parent can limit access to the app. This is a device control rather than an AI content filter.
- Parent: Open Family Link and select your child.
- Open Screen time, Time limits and App limits. Select SpicyChat.
- Choose Set limit and save the agreed allowance, or use Block when access is unsuitable.
Why it matters: A device limit cannot make an ineligible account acceptable. Also review browser access and other devices, because an app limit does not cover every route.
Use Screen Time on iPhone or iPad
Family Sharing allows parents to manage a child’s Screen Time. Set this up with the child’s own Apple Account.
- Parent: Open iPhone Settings, then Screen Time and select the child under Family.
- Open App Limits, select Add Limit and select SpicyChat if installed. Set the allowance and add the limit.
- Review Downtime and protect changes with a Screen Time passcode the child does not know.
Why it matters: Review exceptions and other ways to reach the service. However, time limits do not inspect generated answers or replace the provider’s age requirements.
SpicyChat Safety Settings
Some SpicyChat safety settings vary by account, device or country. A setting on the website may differ from the app. Therefore, check the confirmation and its scope before relying on any change. In addition, keep access restrictions separate from content, privacy and billing choices.
SpicyChat: Hide Explicit Listings and Blur Images
These are adult browsing preferences rather than parental controls.
- Open the profile picture at the top right to reach Profile Settings.
- Next, turn Display chatbots with explicit images or languages (NSFW) off. Turn Blur explicit images (NSFW) on where shown.
Why it matters: These preferences do not stop all adult generation or make underage access permitted. Do not enable adult content for a minor.
SpicyChat: Block a Creator and Report a Character
Blocking hides a creator’s characters. Reporting asks moderation to review a policy concern.
- On a character card, open the three dots beside its name. Alternatively, open the three dots at the top right of its conversation.
- Choose Block Creator to remove that creator’s characters from your feed, favourites and recommendations.
- For a policy concern, open the same menu and choose Report. Describe the issue and include only relevant evidence.
- Review existing blocks through Blocked Creators. Keep the block in place unless you deliberately choose Unblock.
Why it matters: Reporting alone does not hide a character. A block cannot prevent copied characters or contact through another service. Therefore, also review access and linked communities.
SpicyChat: Report a Message and Delete a Saved Chat
A message report differs from removing a saved conversation. Preserve necessary evidence before either action.
- At the response’s top right, open the three dots and choose Report Message. Select the reason, or Other and explain.
- To remove a saved conversation, open the chat’s top right three dots, then View Saved Chats. Find the affected conversation and select Delete.
- Review other saved or cloned conversations with the same character. Starting a new chat leaves the previous conversation saved.
Why it matters: Message reports go to moderation. Chat deletion does not establish removal of separate memories or every provider record. Review retained context and request privacy support separately.
SpicyChat Safety Settings for Memory
Memory Manager is available from Get A Taste upwards. Automatic Semantic Memory 2.0 requires True Supporter or above.
- In an existing chat, open the top right three dots. Choose Disable Memory if memory is active and unwanted.
- Next, open Memory Manager from the chat menu to inspect retained details. A few messages and an eligible subscription are required.
- Beside an inaccurate or identifying memory, open its three dots. Choose Edit Memory, make the correction and select Save.
- To remove it, choose Delete Memory. Review each unwanted entry, including automatically generated ones, before leaving.
Why it matters: Disabling use does not demonstrate erasure. Deleted or edited messages can leave separate memories, while removing a memory leaves original messages intact. Check both places.
SpicyChat: Review Lorebook Privacy
Lorebooks store reusable background information. A public Lorebook exposes its entries to other users.
- Open My Creations, then Lorebooks. Open the saved card’s three dots and choose Edit.
- Next, at the bottom of the editor, set Visibility to Private and select Save Lorebook. Check the saved badge.
- Review its entries for identifying information. To remove an unwanted Lorebook, return to the card’s three dots and choose Remove.
Why it matters: A private Lorebook’s name can still appear on an attached public character. Use a nonidentifying name. Audience changes cannot recall information copied while it was public.
SpicyChat: Turn Off Interactive Relationship Features
Beta Rulebooks can add relationship meters and hidden instructions. These can make progress feel personal, although they are programmed features.
- Open an active chat’s meters to view the details sheet, or open its chat menu.
- Turn Interactive features off when you do not want the meters to drive the interaction.
- For your own saved Rulebooks, open My Creations, then Rulebooks. Use the card’s three dots to Edit or Remove it.
Why it matters: Hide meters only hides the display while their effects continue. Switching off interactive features freezes them. These controls do not make underage access permitted.
SpicyChat Safety Settings for Group Privacy
Group Chat combines AI characters rather than adding trusted human supervision. Group audience and reply controls are separate.
- Open My Creations, then Groups. Review each existing group’s settings and remove unwanted personal background.
- Set the group’s Visibility to Private when it should not be shared. Check the saved audience. Unlisted still allows link access.
- For a premium group conversation, open its chat settings and disable Auto response if automatic speaker selection is unwanted.
Why it matters: A private group does not make the service suitable for children. Also review each character, persona and saved conversation because they supply separate context.
SpicyChat: Review Uploaded Voices
Custom Voices are an I’m All In feature. A voice attached to a public character can be heard by other users.
- Open My Creations, then Voices, and review saved uploads for your own or another person’s identifiable voice.
- In addition, review the character editor’s Attach voice section and its Visibility. Keep identifying voices out of public characters.
- For removal of uploaded audio or a voice you cannot manage, use Submit a ticket at the official support centre. Identify the affected voice and character.
Why it matters: Changing microphone permission does not remove existing uploads. Never upload a child’s or another person’s voice without appropriate authority and informed consent.
SpicyChat: Remove Personal Profile Context
Profile details can influence conversations with different characters.
- Open Profile Settings and review Username, Name and Highlights.
- Next, remove identifying details from Highlights and avoid using a real face for Avatar. Use Update to save profile changes.
Why it matters: Also review separate personas and saved chat context. Changing a profile does not erase information already included in a conversation.
SpicyChat: Review Separate Personas
A persona supplies an identity and background to conversations. It can contain personal details even after the main profile has changed.
- Open My Personas and review each saved persona’s name, avatar and highlights.
- Next, use that page’s editing controls to remove identifying details, or delete the unwanted persona. Review the default persona as well.
- Finally, check existing conversations afterwards. When a persona is deleted, its conversation falls back to the default profile.
Why it matters: Changing a persona does not erase old messages. Review the default profile too, because a fallback may expose details you intended to remove. This adult service remains unsuitable for minors.
SpicyChat: Keep Character Details Private
In addition, character visibility and definition visibility control different information. An adult reviewing an existing creation should check both.
- Open the existing character’s editing form and review Visibility. Choose Private where only the account holder should access it.
- Next, review Definition Visibility separately and keep the character’s personality details private where appropriate. Save the changes.
- Check the saved audience. Do not treat Unlisted as private, because people with the link may still access the character.
Why it matters: Audience settings reduce exposure to other users. They do not hide information from the service provider or recall screenshots and copies. Avoid placing real family information in character definitions.
SpicyChat: Stop Promotional Emails
Similarly, promotional email is separate from device notifications and essential account messages.
- Open a genuine SpicyChat marketing email and scroll to the bottom.
- Select Unsubscribe and complete the displayed request.
- If promotions continue, use the official support centre’s Submit a ticket option and identify the affected email address.
Why it matters: This stops marketing, not essential sign in codes, receipts or moderation notices. Therefore, keep access to the account inbox while closing an account or cancelling a payment plan.
SpicyChat: Close an Unwanted Account
Use the current support instructions for permanent closure.
- In the app, tap You at the bottom right. On the website, open the top right profile icon.
- Next, open profile settings, expand Advanced and select Remove Account. A ten second countdown begins. Check the current official deletion instructions if the route differs.
Why it matters: Website recurring subscriptions are cancelled with deletion according to support. Google Play, SubscribeStar, Boosty and other outside billing still require their own cancellation.
The provider’s iOS notice says its former native app was removed. Therefore, review browser access as well as installed apps. An icon on the Home Screen may open a website rather than an App Store app.
SpicyChat: Review Camera, Microphone and Location Permissions
Device permissions control access to sensors and selected files. For example, give only the access needed for the current task.
- On Android, open device Settings, Apps and SpicyChat. Open Permissions.
- Next, select each permission and choose Don’t allow for unnecessary access. For a needed feature, choose a limited option where the phone offers it.
- Finally, for browser use on iPhone or iPad, review the website’s camera and microphone permissions in its browser settings. Deny unnecessary access.
Why it matters: Permissions do not remove files or recordings already uploaded. Therefore, keep other people out of voice and camera sessions and review access after updates.
SpicyChat: Reduce Notifications and Protect Sleep
Device notification choices can reduce prompts to return. This is a device preference rather than a platform content filter.
- For a saved web app on iPhone or iPad, open Settings, then Notifications. If it appears, turn its Allow Notifications off.
- Next, on Android, open Settings, Notifications and App notifications. Select the app and turn off unwanted notifications.
Why it matters: Also review browser notification permissions. However, silencing an alert does not prevent someone opening the service voluntarily.
SpicyChat: Protect Sign In and Recovery Access
SpicyChat uses email codes or a linked provider rather than a SpicyChat password. Protect the account that receives the code.
- Enable additional sign in verification on the email account or linked Google, Apple, X or Discord account.
- In addition, keep one time codes private. Use the genuine website and sign out on shared devices.
- For a Discord registration, use the Discord sign in button to reach that account. Entering its email into the code form can create a different account.
Why it matters: Inbox access can expose private chats. Also, using the wrong sign in route can make records appear missing even when they remain in another account.
SpicyChat: Check App Store Renewals
If the receipt shows an app store subscription, cancel through that store. Deleting the app is a separate action.
- For Apple billing, open Settings, your name and Subscriptions. Select SpicyChat and Cancel Subscription if available.
- Next, for Google Play billing, open Play Store, the profile icon, Payments & subscriptions and Subscriptions. Select the subscription and Cancel subscription.
- Finally, follow the confirmation prompts and check the expiry date. For a different billing provider, use the route on the receipt.
Why it matters: Removing an account may not stop a store renewal. Therefore, retain the cancellation confirmation and check the account that actually paid.
SpicyChat: Request Data Copies and Processing Choices
Use a written request for records or processing choices that ordinary settings do not explain.
- Open the official support centre and select Submit a ticket. Enter the account email, subject, relevant Type and actual Platform.
- In Description, state whether you want a data copy, correction, deletion or an explanation of model improvement processing.
- Ask specifically about chats, memories, personas, Lorebooks, uploaded audio, images and retained backups. Request any available objection or consent withdrawal route.
- Finally, keep the reference and response. Do not attach an identity document unless support directs you to an appropriate secure verification channel.
Why it matters: Conversation memory is different from model training. A rating, hidden chat or blocked creator is not a training opt out. Confirm the scope in writing.
SpicyChat Safety Settings for Website Renewal
Website and outside subscriptions have different cancellation routes.
- For a subscription bought directly from SpicyChat, open the top right profile picture and Profile Settings. Select Manage Subscription and complete cancellation in the billing panel.
- Next, for Google Play, SubscribeStar, Boosty or another outside provider, cancel in that provider’s account. Check the receipt if you are unsure.
- Finally, retain confirmation and the expiry date before closing the SpicyChat account.
Why it matters: Current support says account deletion cancels direct website recurring subscriptions. However, outside subscriptions continue billing until cancelled with their provider.
Understand What These Controls Cannot Do
A filter, paid plan or character label cannot guarantee a suitable reply. Also, removing a chat may leave separate memories, published creations or provider records. If a needed control is unclear, stop sharing private information and ask the official support service what it covers. Do not infer a parent dashboard or locked child setting from an ordinary account preference.
How to Use SpicyChat Safely
Do not use SFW filters as a plan for allowing a child onto an adult platform. Instead, stop access and help the child talk through anything they saw. If someone used the service to send sexual messages or pressure a young person, preserve the relevant contact evidence and seek safeguarding support.
Review SpicyChat safety settings with the eligible account holder. Keep addresses, school details, passwords and private photographs out of prompts. In addition, do not upload another person’s image or voice to impersonate them. However, an apparently private conversation still involves a company processing information.
SpicyChat Safety Advice and Current Concerns
Keep Human Support at the Centre
For example, a character can mirror the user’s language and produce reassuring replies. However, it does not have a human duty of care. It cannot reliably assess a child’s safety, diagnose a condition or replace a qualified professional. Agree who the young person can contact when worried, including when a bot appears supportive.
Notice Changes in Everyday Life
Ask whether chats interfere with sleep, school, friendships or activities. In addition, look for distress when access stops, pressure to buy more interaction or a belief that only the character understands. These signs invite a calm conversation rather than proving a diagnosis. Therefore, make a practical plan together and seek appropriate professional help when concerns persist.
Respond to Sexual Content and Pressure
If a conversation turns sexual, threatening or coercive, stop it. Next, reassure the child that asking for help is the right response. If a real person pressures them through linked communities or messages, treat that contact separately from the bot. Avoid forwarding intimate images and get safeguarding help for threats or exploitation.
Check Identity, Accuracy and Secrecy
An imitation of a celebrity or fictional hero is not an authenticated person. Similarly, a convincing answer may invent facts or encourage a poor choice. Challenge messages that ask someone to hide the conversation from trusted adults. Use reliable human help for health, safety, money or relationship decisions.
SpicyChat Support and Regional Differences
Use the official SpicyChat privacy or support guidance for account and personal data concerns. Include the relevant content reference and device details, while leaving out unrelated private information. Ask for a request reference so you can follow up. A report is not emergency monitoring.
For families in Ireland, check the Data Protection Commission’s parent guidance. UK readers can use ICO public guidance, while US readers can consult FTC children’s privacy information. Account eligibility, privacy rights and app classifications are different questions.
For a concern involving a child’s immediate safety, contact the appropriate local emergency or safeguarding service. For other worries, speak with a trusted adult, school safeguarding contact or qualified health professional. CODA provides education and training rather than crisis monitoring. Explore CODA’s support resources for further routes.

SpicyChat Safety Settings FAQ
Does a friendly character make this suitable for a child?
No. A familiar image says little about what a conversation will generate. Start with the age requirement and then consider the young person’s needs. For adult services, prevent access rather than using an adult account together.
Does deleting the app delete conversations?
No. For example, removing an app affects the device. Account closure, stored chats, remembered details, published creations and billing can need separate actions. Therefore, read each confirmation and ask the provider about anything it leaves unclear.
Should a parent read every conversation?
For parents, begin with honest, proportionate involvement and agreed boundaries. First, ask about the experience and look at worrying interactions together where appropriate. In addition, explain any safety related monitoring. Above all, a young person should know they can seek help without automatically losing every form of digital contact.
