Pokémon GO safety settings help parents review the mobile collecting game that uses real locations to find Pokémon, visit landmarks and join activities. Exploration and familiar characters attract children, while location access and real world meetings need adult planning.
For young people, shared activities can offer enjoyment, creativity and belonging. However, conversations, spending and pressure to keep playing need separate attention. This guide explains the documented protections, their limitations and practical family choices.

Age Rating and Child Safety Warning
The Irish Apple listing shows 9+. This store classification does not define a universal account age. Children below the provider’s applicable consent threshold need a parent managed account. Therefore, enter the real birth date rather than using an adult identity.
Current support uses Kids @ Scopely Explore branding, while some instructions still say Niantic Kids. Pokémon Trainer Central provides another child login route. Check which provider the child actually uses because the parent dashboards differ.
For parents, location access is essential to normal play. Adult consent does not make every route, meeting or event safe. Keep verification within the official provider process and read its privacy notice before supplying personal information. Available adult checks vary by region.
Pokémon GO Parental Controls and Restrictions
Set up Pokémon GO child permissions
First, stay together through child account setup. Older screens may retain the Niantic Kids name. Use the child’s accurate birth date.
- Choose New Player, then Kids at Scopely Explore. Under the account question, select Create One Here.
- Create the child’s username and password, then enter the parent’s email address. The login username differs from the public Trainer nickname.
- The adult opens the guardian email, completes the offered verification and reviews permissions before approving. Verification methods vary by country.
Why it matters: Location access enables play. However, Friends, Sponsored Content, Shared AR and Party Play need separate decisions. Never share verification details with players.
Review the Pokémon GO parent portal
Next, open the official Kids @ Scopely Explore parent portal. The service still links to a Niantic named account address. Use the guardian email and its unique sign in link.
- On the overview page, choose See Profile for the correct child.
- Under Active Apps, choose Review beside Pokémon GO.
- Review Friends, Sponsored Content, Shared AR Experiences and Party Play. Disable optional permissions that do not suit the child.
Why it matters: Friends can reveal profile details and gift locations. In addition, keep the guardian inbox secure because its login link grants parent access.
Connect a Pokémon Trainer Central child login
Alternatively, use the child’s existing Pokémon Trainer Central account. The adult must control its linked parent account.
- Open Pokémon GO, select Pokémon Trainer Central and sign in as the child.
- Hand the device to the adult. Select I’m the Parent/Guardian, review the notice and choose Continue as the Parent/Guardian.
- Sign in as the parent. Confirm the displayed child and decide Allow or Deny. Review the permission sliders.
- Choose Continue and Back to Pokémon GO. Let the child sign in again.
Why it matters: Check the displayed child before consenting. A parent login and the child’s public Trainer nickname identify different things.
Change Pokémon Trainer Central permissions
For later changes, use Pokémon’s parent dashboard. Do not assume a missing permission means the app has malfunctioned.
- Sign in to the adult’s Pokémon Trainer Central account and select the child.
- Open Pokémon GO Settings in the left toolbar. Under Permissions for Your Child, review each checkbox.
- Enable only the agreed features and review any permission dependencies before returning to play.
Why it matters: Some permissions depend on others. In addition, sufficiently old account holders may manage their own choices instead of showing the same parent controls.
Pokémon GO parental controls for Apple family setup
First, use separate adult and child identities. This sets up the family relationship before configuring Pokémon GO safety settings.
- On the adult’s iPhone, open Settings, the adult’s name and Family. Choose Continue if creating the group and complete its prompts.
- Open Settings, Family and Add Member. Choose Create Child Account, then Continue, for a new child identity.
- Enter the child’s real name and birthday. Complete Apple’s account and adult verification prompts. For an existing child account, use Invite Others instead and complete acceptance.
- On a child device showing Connect to Family in Settings, select it and finish linking. Then review the time and purchase controls below.
Why it matters: Sharing the adult login can expose adult content and payments. Therefore, verify which child the family controls actually manage. Device setup does not change the game’s account eligibility.
Pokémon GO parental controls for Android family setup
Similarly, connect the child’s actual Android identity to Family Link. Keep the adult and child nearby. Do not erase an existing device merely to follow new device instructions.
- For a new child account, open Family Link on the parent’s device. Select the child profile menu and Add child, then complete the real birthday and parental consent prompts.
- For an EU child aged 13 to 15, Google directs setup through a new Android device instead. At sign in, choose Create account, or More options and For my child. Complete child details and adult consent.
- For an existing account, on the child’s Android device open Settings, Google and All services. Under Kids & Family, choose Parental controls, then Let’s do this and the child’s account.
- Complete supervision with the child’s agreement. Open Family Link on the adult’s device, confirm the child appears and review the controls below.
Why it matters: Family Link can manage supported Android devices. However, it does not supervise a child’s iPhone. Account age, country and device eligibility still apply. Use the linked official setup guidance if labels differ.
Pokémon GO parental controls for Apple purchases
For parents, enable Screen Time before configuring Apple billing. A free download can still contain paid items.
- Open Settings, then Screen Time on the managed iPhone or iPad.
- Next, select Apps and Websites, App Store, then In-app Purchases and Blocked.
Why it matters: This is the current iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 route. It covers Apple billing, so separately review purchases through another store or website.
Pokémon GO parental controls for Google Play purchases
For a supervised Google account, the adult can require purchase approval. First, confirm that Family Link manages the child’s actual account.
- Open Family Link on the adult’s device and select the child.
- Choose Controls, then Google Play. Under Purchases & download approvals, select Require approval for.
- Select All content to review eligible downloads and purchases.
Why it matters: This covers Google Play billing. However, a web store or another payment system needs separate review. Existing virtual currency may remain spendable.
Pokémon GO safety settings for Apple time allowances
For current Apple family controls, all family devices need version 27 or later and updated parental controls. Each person needs their own account. First, follow Apple’s family setup guidance if the child is not yet connected.
- On the adult’s iPhone or iPad, open Settings, Family and the child’s name.
- Choose Time Allowances and use the Add button to complete setup if needed.
- Adjust the Games allowance with its slider or plus and minus buttons. Review which apps belong to that category.
Why it matters: The category allowance can cover several games. Therefore, check its membership and the daily total rather than assuming it limits only this game.
Set an Apple schedule around school and sleep
Similarly, schedule when the child can use game categories. Keep necessary communication available.
- From Settings, open Family, select the child and choose Screen Time Schedule. Turn on Schedule.
- Choose Add Schedule and select the days. Use Add Time Window to set the name, times and allowed categories.
- Check the Always Allowed exceptions. For matching allowances, enable Match Screen Time Schedule under Time Allowances.
Why it matters: Check the completed schedule with the child. Older software can retain App Limits and Downtime, so use Apple’s instructions for that version.
Review and cancel a recurring Apple payment
For recurring charges, first check who issued the receipt. A game purchase, a prepaid pass and a renewing subscription are different. These instructions apply only when Apple manages a subscription.
- On the iPhone or iPad using the purchasing Apple Account, open Settings and tap the account holder’s name.
- Next, choose Subscriptions and select the relevant subscription.
- Choose Cancel Subscription and complete any confirmation. If no cancellation button appears, check for the expiry message.
Why it matters: Apple says an expiry message or no cancellation button can mean the subscription already ended. However, cancellation does not itself request a refund. Contact another seller when its name appears on the receipt.
Review and cancel a recurring Google Play payment
Similarly, inspect the purchasing Google Account. This route covers Google Play subscriptions rather than every in game offer or another store.
- Open Google Play subscriptions and sign in to the Google Account that owns the payment.
- Select the relevant subscription and choose Cancel subscription.
- Follow the instructions and check the resulting cancellation status and access end date.
Why it matters: Uninstalling the game does not cancel a subscription. In addition, cancellation and refund eligibility differ. A completed payment can still fund access until the paid period ends.
Pokémon GO safety settings for Apple refunds
For an unwanted Pokémon GO purchase, first check the receipt. Refund approval is not automatic.
- Sign in to Apple’s purchase support with the billed Apple Account.
- Choose I’d like to, then Request a refund. Select the reason and Next.
- Select the relevant item and Submit. A family organiser can choose the Apple Account button, then All, for eligible shared payment purchases.
Why it matters: A pending charge may not yet appear. In addition, cancel any unwanted recurring payment separately. Apple does not handle every external checkout.
Pokémon GO safety settings for Google Play refunds
Next, use the Google Account shown on the receipt. Eligibility differs by purchase and region, including Ireland and the UK.
- Open Google Play in a browser and select the buying account’s Profile picture.
- Choose Payments & subscriptions, then Budget & order history. Find the charge and choose Report a problem.
- Select the accurate reason, complete the refund request form and choose Submit. If the order is missing, check the account and use Google’s refund help.
Why it matters: A request does not guarantee reimbursement or cancel recurring billing. Therefore, use the separate cancellation steps and contact the seller shown on an external receipt.
Pokémon GO safety settings for Android time limits
Similarly, use the child’s supervised Google account to set a time allowance. Agree the stopping point before play.
- Open Family Link and select the child.
- Choose Screen time, Time limits and App limits.
- Select Pokémon GO, choose Set limit, set the allowance and tap Done.
Why it matters: Check that the limit applies to the device the child actually uses. Another device or an adult account may remain available.
Pokémon GO Safety Settings and Why They Matter
Remove an unwanted Pokémon GO friend
First, review the friend list together. Game progress or a familiar avatar does not establish someone’s identity.
- From Map View, open Trainer Profile and Friends.
- Select the person, scroll to the bottom of their profile and choose Remove Friend.
Why it matters: Removal also affects the provider’s shared friend list in other games. However, it does not send a misconduct report or stop offline contact.
Replace a publicly shared Trainer Code
If a code circulates beyond the intended group, change it and review existing friendships separately.
- Open Map View, Trainer Profile, Friends and Add Friend.
- Tap the refresh icon beside the Trainer Code to reset it. Share the replacement only with the intended people.
Why it matters: A new code does not remove existing friends. Therefore, check the list and parent permissions rather than treating code replacement as a complete contact block.
Check gifts and real location clues
For privacy, a gift shows the location where the sender collected it. Therefore, avoid gifts from places that reveal home, school or a daily routine. Review each postcard before sending it and restrict friends through the parent dashboard when appropriate. A nickname does not make location clues anonymous.
Pokémon GO safety settings for Party Play location
Party Play shares Trainer names and avatars. However, child accounts never appear on the party map and cannot see other Trainers there. Parent permission is necessary.
- For an eligible account, open Map View, Main Menu, Settings and General.
- Under Party Play, turn off Share Location with Party to stop showing approximate location to the party.
- For a child, separately review Party Play in the parent portal. Leave permission off if group play does not suit the child.
Why it matters: Child players cannot host and must be friends with the host, with at least two other players in the party. Consequently, review the real group together. Ending a party stops its location sharing.
Join or leave a Pokémon GO Party Play group
First, agree the real people in the group. The host must be physically nearby. In addition, child accounts need the parent permission and host friendship described above.
- From Map View, open the Trainer Profile and select the Party tab at the top right.
- Choose Join a Party. Scan the host’s QR code, or select Party Code and enter their nine digit code.
- Next, choose Join Party after checking the intended host.
- To leave, reopen Trainer Profile and Party. Scroll down and choose Leave Party.
Why it matters: The group can see that someone left. However, leaving does not remove existing friendships or stop contact in another app. Never follow an unfamiliar host simply to keep the party active.
Review, leave or report a Pokémon GO Route
Routes can include player descriptions and outdoor paths. Therefore, review the real journey before starting. Child accounts cannot create Routes.
- Open Nearby, then the Route tab and See Nearby Routes. Select a Route to review its details.
- During a Route, tap its icon above the Binoculars button to open the Active Route Menu.
- To stop, scroll down and choose Quit Route, then confirm with Quit Route.
- To report a problem, use Report Route at the bottom of that menu and follow the reporting prompts.
Why it matters: A listed path does not guarantee safe access or suitable conditions. In addition, a report does not promise a personal response. Stop walking whenever the surroundings feel unsafe.
Block, report or remove a Campfire contact
Campfire has separate messaging controls. It serves adults and young people above their country’s digital consent age. In addition, joining connects friends from supported games who already use Campfire.
- In Campfire, open the person’s profile and tap the three dots at the top right.
- Select Block to prevent that account from messaging or adding you. Alternatively, select Remove Friend to remove the friendship.
- Choose Report and its reason for abuse. For a harmful message, press and hold the message to report its content.
Why it matters: Removing a friend differs from blocking. However, neither action prevents contact through another account or app. Parental consent does not unlock Campfire for an ineligible child.
Turn off Campfire requests from nonfriends
For an eligible account using Campfire, review its separate messaging controls. Do not treat Pokémon GO friends permissions as a universal Campfire message filter.
- Open the Campfire profile and select the Settings icon at the top right.
- Choose Message Requests and disable incoming requests.
- To review an existing request, open the Messages tab and Message Requests. Select the request to review the offered decline, block or report options.
Why it matters: Campfire allows nonfriend requests by default according to its help page. However, disabling requests does not remove existing friends or stop contact through other services.
Review connected game visibility in Campfire
Campfire can reveal connected game identities. Therefore, review this separately from Pokémon GO permissions.
- Open your profile at the bottom right in Campfire, then tap the settings icon at the top right.
- Choose Edit Profile. Select each game profile and review its visibility choices.
- Deselect a game you do not want to display to friends. Review the remaining profile details together.
Why it matters: This changes Campfire visibility rather than discoverability inside other games. In addition, Meetup details can reveal precise places publicly, even to people without the app. Avoid sharing private meeting places.
Pokémon GO safety settings for Adventure Sync
Adventure Sync records distance when the game is not open. It is optional and available from Trainer Level 5. Consequently, review it separately from location access during normal play.
- Open Pokémon GO and choose Main Menu, Settings and General.
- Find Adventure Sync and uncheck it to stop using that feature.
- If you later enable it, review the separate location and Apple Health or Google Fit permission requests before agreeing.
Why it matters: Turning off this feature does not remove every phone permission. Therefore, review location, fitness and camera access separately below. On Android 10, revoke activity access only alongside the in game Adventure Sync switch.
Review background activity and camera access
Phone permissions differ from account protections. Child accounts cannot add friends from device Contacts. For an older account, avoid contact syncing unless needed. Review the controls below with the child. They are ordinary device choices, not proof of a parent locked restriction.
Pokémon GO safety settings for iPhone location
First, review location access on the child’s iPhone. Pokémon GO needs location for normal exploration. Limit background access only after turning off Adventure Sync in the game.
- Open Settings, Privacy & Security and Location Services. Select Pokémon GO if listed.
- Choose While Using the App for foreground play, or Never to deny access. Always permits background access.
- Review Precise Location on that screen. Turn it off if approximate location meets the agreed need.
Why it matters: Reduced precision or denied access can disrupt map based play. However, phone permission does not decide which friends see location clues.
Pokémon GO safety settings for Android location
Similarly, inspect the child’s Android phone. Manufacturer wording and available choices vary.
- Open Settings, Location and App location permissions. Choose Pokémon GO if listed.
- Choose Allow only while using the app for foreground play after disabling Adventure Sync, or Don’t allow to deny access.
- If offered, review Use precise location. Follow the phone manufacturer’s guidance if these menus differ.
Why it matters: Background Adventure Sync needs broader location access. Therefore, expect reduced functionality when restricting it, and recheck the game after changes.
Review Pokémon GO iPhone camera and sensor access
Next, check only the categories that list the game. Do not enable a permission simply because an app asks.
- Open Settings and Privacy & Security. Choose Camera and turn off Pokémon GO if listed and unwanted.
- Return to Privacy & Security. Similarly, review Microphone and Contacts for the game. Review Motion & Fitness separately and turn off its game access if unwanted.
Why it matters: Camera based features may stop working. However, the parent’s Shared AR permission and phone access serve different purposes. Avoid images showing home or school details.
Review Pokémon GO Android camera and sensor access
For Android permissions, review the game’s own list rather than granting access to every category.
- Open Settings, Apps and See all apps if needed. Select Pokémon GO, then Permissions.
- Choose each listed permission, such as Camera, Microphone or Contacts, and select Don’t allow when unwanted. Review Physical activity separately if listed.
Why it matters: Denying activity access can affect distance rewards. However, on Android 10, activity permission alone does not fully disable Adventure Sync. Uncheck it inside the game as well.
Review Pokémon GO access to Apple Health
In addition, check the separate fitness connection after reviewing Adventure Sync. Phone motion access and Health data permissions are distinct.
- Open Health and tap the Profile button. Under Privacy, choose Apps.
- Select Pokémon GO if listed and review the health categories. Turn off any access the family no longer wants.
Why it matters: Removing access may stop fitness rewards. However, revoking a permission does not itself delete information already held by the game or Health. Review data deletion separately.
Reduce Pokémon GO notifications on iPhone
For fewer prompts to return to the game, review alerts with the child.
- Open Settings, Apps and Pokémon GO. Choose Notifications if available.
- Turn off Allow Notifications, or review the offered sound and display options if keeping alerts.
Why it matters: Fewer alerts can support agreed routines. However, turning off notifications does not limit play time or prevent in game contact.
Reduce Pokémon GO notifications on Android
Similarly, manage game alerts separately from time limits. Phone labels can vary.
- Open Settings, Notifications and App notifications. Use All apps in the dropdown if needed.
- Choose Pokémon GO. Turn its notifications off, or adjust the offered categories.
Why it matters: This changes alerts on that device. In addition, retain the separate parental time and purchase restrictions rather than relying on silence alone.
Report a Pokémon GO player or request data
For harassment or another rule breach, use the official support flow. An adult can also ask about the child’s stored data.
- From Map View, open Main Menu, Settings and Help at the top right.
- Use the support contact button in the upper right. Explain the behaviour, Trainer identity and relevant time, or state that you want to request account data.
Why it matters: Reporting does not guarantee immediate action. For physical danger, leave the location and seek urgent help rather than waiting for game moderation.
Delete a child portal profile separately from Pokémon GO
For account closure, distinguish the child login profile from gameplay data. Read the consequences before removing access.
- Sign in through the official parent portal and select the child’s account.
- Choose Edit Profile, then the Delete child’s profile link at the bottom. Read the confirmation before deciding whether to proceed.
- To request gameplay deletion as well, use Pokémon GO support’s separate Delete My Account request.
Why it matters: Portal profile deletion alone does not erase the Pokémon GO account or gameplay data. In addition, check billing separately before closing access.
Protect and recover the linked Apple identity
For an eligible Apple linked login or guardian account, secure the Apple identity separately. This does not make an ineligible game account eligible.
- Open Settings on the account holder’s trusted iPhone, choose their name and Sign-In & Security. Review or turn on two-factor authentication and complete Apple’s prompts if needed.
- For a forgotten child password, on the parent’s trusted device open Settings, Family and the child. Choose Change [child’s Name] Password. It may appear under Personal Information.
- Complete the identity and password prompts privately. For another account, use Apple’s account recovery guidance rather than sending codes to another player.
Why it matters: The parent device must manage the correct child. In addition, protect trusted devices and numbers. A game support team cannot simply reveal the Apple password.
Protect a linked Google login or guardian inbox
For an eligible account using Google, secure that Google identity separately from the game. Similarly, protect a guardian’s Gmail inbox if it receives parent access links. This does not unlock Google game login for an ineligible child.
- Open the relevant Google Account and confirm its owner.
- Next, open Security & sign-in. Under How you sign in to Google, choose Turn on 2-Step Verification.
- Complete Google’s verification prompts and the offered second step. For a work or school account, ask its administrator if setup is unavailable.
Why it matters: This protects Google access rather than every linked provider. Therefore, reject unexpected sign in requests and never give a player a verification code.
Protect a Pokémon Trainer Central login
Pokémon Trainer Central supports authenticator protection for adult and child accounts. For Pokémon GO safety settings, configure the provider the child actually uses.
- Sign in at Pokémon Trainer Central. Open Profile and Multi-Factor Authentication, then Turn On.
- Add the displayed QR code or manual code to a suitable authenticator app. Enter its current code in Step 2 and choose Continue. Check the success message.
- Keep access to the chosen authenticator. If it becomes unavailable, contact Pokémon Support for ownership verification.
Why it matters: A child may use a parent’s authenticator. However, a new login needs its current code. Never share that code with players or purported trading helpers.
Recover the correct Pokémon child login
Similarly, distinguish Pokémon Trainer Central passwords from Kids at Scopely Explore and the guardian’s inbox.
- For Trainer Central, open Pokémon account recovery and select I forgot my password. Enter the email and username, choose Continue, then use the emailed verification code and set a new password.
- For Kids at Scopely Explore, select its login method in the game and Forgot your password. Use the reset link sent to the parent’s registered email.
- For parent portal access, enter the original consenting email at the parent portal. It sends a login link rather than asking for a portal password.
Why it matters: Search the original permission email if the guardian address is uncertain. In addition, use the actual linked provider’s recovery for eligible Google, Apple or Facebook accounts rather than creating a replacement game identity.
Check Pokémon GO web billing separately
For eligible web purchases, store purchase controls do not cover every payment route. Child accounts have code redemption access rather than the Web Store shop.
- Check the purchase receipt and bank entry for the merchant of record. In the Web Store menu, select the Trainer Name and Order History to check an order.
- For FastSpring, use FastSpring buyer support. For Xsolla, use its refund support. Explain the order issue and provide the requested receipt details.
- For a Japanese SB Payment Service transaction, use Pokémon GO’s official payment support route to contact game support.
Why it matters: Refund eligibility depends on the seller and transaction. Therefore, secure the adult’s payments and never change a child’s age to unlock a shop.
Review account recovery and deletion
Finally, use the correct login provider for recovery. Scopely support does not manage every provider’s password. Check the family’s login records before requesting a reset.
- Open official Pokémon GO sign in help and find I need to reset my password.
- Select the link for the actual provider: Google, Facebook, Apple, Pokémon Trainer Central or Kids at Scopely Explore. Complete that provider’s recovery prompts privately.
- If the provider or email is unknown, use Contact Us from official support. Explain what is missing without posting credentials publicly.
- For gameplay deletion, use the request form in Pokémon GO support and choose Delete My Account. Read the consequences before deciding.
Why it matters: Recovery and deletion have different consequences. In addition, child birth dates restrict the available login providers. Never enter a false age to reveal an adult login option.
How to Use Pokémon GO Safely
For outdoor play, agree the route and meeting point before leaving. Stop walking before checking the screen, respect private property and never drive while playing. Keep younger children with a trusted adult. In addition, review event timing, battery charge and safe travel rather than following a reward into an unfamiliar place.
For parents, ask your child to show you a normal session. Review who joins, what they enjoy and what makes stopping difficult. In addition, practise leaving an uncomfortable interaction without arguing or explaining personal details.
Similarly, agree that an online friendship never requires secrecy, private photographs, money or contact through another app. A familiar username or impressive score does not prove someone’s age or identity. Keep school, home address and daily routines out of profiles and conversations.
Essential Safety Advice and Current Concerns
However, Pokémon GO safety settings cannot judge another person’s intentions. Social pressure, sexual comments, threats and requests for private contact deserve attention even when a player seems friendly. Ask about behaviour rather than judging trust from an avatar, status badge or shared interests.
If someone threatens or sexually pressures a child, stay calm and listen. Stop contact, preserve relevant nonsexual messages where safe and use reporting tools. Do not download or forward sexual images of children. Reassure the child that asking for help will not get them into trouble.
In Ireland, contact An Garda Síochána about suspected grooming or exploitation. In an emergency, call 112 or 999. CODA education and website guidance do not replace an urgent safeguarding response.
For families, protect sleep, schoolwork, meals and time away from screens. Agree spending before opening the shop, and review pressure from limited offers or other players. If play repeatedly causes distress, discuss the pattern together and seek suitable support.
Platform Support and Regional Differences
Use the in app help route for game moderation and data concerns. However, use the login provider for password recovery and the seller on the receipt for payment disputes. Child features, event access and permission names can differ by region and account age.
For families in Ireland, the UK and the USA, Pokémon GO safety settings can differ by account age, device and rollout. A store rating, account permission and identity check answer different questions. Therefore, inspect the actual child account rather than borrowing an adult login to bypass a restriction.
For billing, start with the seller on the receipt. Check renewal terms, payment methods and refund eligibility through that seller. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription or request a refund. Existing virtual currency can remain spendable after you block new real money purchases.
Pokémon GO Safety Settings Checklist
- First, confirm the correct age, account and device.
- Next, review friends, group access and any external messaging apps.
- In addition, check spending and time controls on every device used.
- Practise leaving, muting and reporting together.
- Finally, revisit Pokémon GO safety settings after updates or changes to the account.
Pokémon GO Safety Settings Questions
Do these settings guarantee safety?
No. Controls reduce particular risks, but another player can still lie, pressure or upset someone. Therefore, keep regular conversations alongside the settings and help the child seek support early. Never treat an age check as proof of good intentions.
Will one setting cover every device?
No. A child can use a different profile, device or payment service. For example, a phone spending restriction does not establish the same protection on a computer. Review linked accounts and the actual route your child uses to play.
