Fall Guys Safety Settings

Fall Guys game artwork

Fall Guys safety settings help parents review the colourful obstacle course game where players race, jump and compete through short rounds. Friends can play together, and players can also encounter community created rounds and paid cosmetics.

For young people, shared activities can offer enjoyment, creativity and belonging. However, conversations, spending and pressure to keep playing need separate attention. This guide explains the documented protections, their limitations and practical family choices.

Age Rating and Child Safety Warning

Fall Guys’ official creator rules describe an all ages game with examples including PEGI 3. A rating describes content classification, not whether every voice conversation or community creation suits a child. Check the child’s actual store and device.

For younger players, Epic may provide a Cabined Account while awaiting guardian consent. Enter the child’s accurate date of birth and follow the regional permission request. Do not assume that parental consent makes every feature suitable, or that a low game rating removes the need for supervision.

Fall Guys Parental Controls and Restrictions

For parents, the child’s Epic account and the account used on the console must match. The guardian handles consent and verification through Epic’s own flow.

  • When prompted, the child enters the guardian’s email to request permission.
  • The adult opens Epic’s consent email and selects Continue. Review the terms and permission choices before deciding whether to proceed.
  • Configure the available chat, content and account connection choices. Complete the offered adult verification method and confirm the saved permissions.
  • If the email is missing, use the child’s account settings to request permission again.

Why it matters: Verification methods vary by region. Read the privacy notice before supplying a face scan, card or identity document. Never send verification material through game chat.

Protect Fall Guys parental controls with a PIN

Next, protect the parental settings separately from the child’s password. Keep the guardian email secure because it supports PIN recovery.

  • Sign in to the correct child Epic account and open Parental controls.
  • Create the six digit Parental Controls PIN, or enter the existing PIN to review the settings.
  • Check that this is the Epic account linked to the child’s game before changing its permissions.

Why it matters: A PIN for one account does not protect an unrelated console profile. Do not reuse a PIN the child already knows.

Fall Guys parental controls for friends and payments

Epic’s parent dashboard includes friend request and real money payment controls. Separately check the billing and friendship systems on the console or phone.

  • Open Parental controls on the child’s Epic account and enter the parent PIN.
  • Turn Require a PIN to Add Friends on when requests need adult review.
  • Turn Require a PIN for Epic Games Payments on.
  • Review Sign in with Epic controls where offered, choosing Ask each time when external connections need approval.

Why it matters: Epic payment approval does not cover another platform’s checkout or spending existing currency. Friend approval does not prove identity, and platform friends still need separate review.

Fall Guys parental controls for Apple purchases

For parents, enable Screen Time before configuring Apple billing. A free download can still contain paid items.

  • Open Settings, then Screen Time on the managed iPhone or iPad.
  • Next, select Apps and Websites, App Store, then In-app Purchases and Blocked.

Why it matters: This is the current iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 route. It covers Apple billing, so separately review purchases through another store or website.

Fall Guys safety settings for Android time limits

Similarly, use the child’s supervised Google account to set a time allowance. Agree the stopping point before play.

  • Open Family Link and select the child.
  • Choose Screen time, Time limits and App limits.
  • Select Fall Guys, choose Set limit, set the allowance and tap Done.

Why it matters: Check that the limit applies to the device the child actually uses. Another device or an adult account may remain available.

On mobile, Fall Guys can use Epic payment rather than Apple billing. Consequently, an Apple purchase block does not establish a block on Epic checkout. Review the Epic payment PIN as well as the device settings, and check which seller appears before allowing any transaction.

Fall Guys Safety Settings and Why They Matter

Fall Guys safety settings for voice chat

First, check party voice even when playing with friends. The game defaults voice off, and the child’s age and Epic permissions can restrict the available options.

  • From the game’s main menu, open Settings, then Audio.
  • Scroll to Voice Chat and set Party Voice Chat to Off when spoken conversation is unsuitable.
  • Separately review the child’s Epic voice permission. Do not enable a broader group merely to make chat work.

Why it matters: You can still play together with voice off. Fall Guys does not currently support Friends Only voice permission, and chat is disabled for children under 10.

For parents, Voice Reporting is always on for players under 18. Epic describes a rolling five minute audio buffer stored on participants’ devices, sent to Epic when someone reports a violation. Explain this before allowing conversation. It is not a parent listening dashboard or a guarantee that abuse cannot occur.

Block unwanted Fall Guys contact

For an unwanted player, use the Epic identity rather than relying on a similar looking name. Blocking and reporting serve different purposes.

  • Open Fall Guys and select Friends.
  • Search for the person’s Epic Games display name and select that player.
  • Choose More Options, then Block. Select Block again to confirm.
  • Check for the Epic Blocked notice under the display name.

Why it matters: Blocking reduces that contact but does not prevent a person creating another account. Review any separate platform or messaging contact too.

Report a player in Fall Guys

For harassment, cheating or another rule breach, report the behaviour and help the child step away. An accidental collision in an obstacle course is different from sustained targeting.

  • During play, open Game Menu and select REPORT PLAYER.
  • Choose the relevant reason and Submit.
  • On a spectator or winner screen, you can instead select the player in Player List, choose REPORT, select the reason and submit.

Why it matters: A moderation report does not guarantee an immediate ban. Keep the explanation accurate rather than asking other players to submit false reports.

Report harmful Fall Guys voice conversation

Similarly, voice reporting can include audio evidence when reporting is active. Help the child recognise the conversation report control.

  • While in the relevant channel, open the Sidebar and its voice chat tab.
  • Select Report Conversation and wait for the report to load.
  • Choose Submit, close the screen and leave the harmful interaction.

Why it matters: This sends a moderation concern to Epic. It does not replace emergency help or a report to authorities where a child faces immediate danger.

Fall Guys safety settings for custom rounds

For planned play, use the documented Creative private lobby route. First, check that the chosen round suits the group. A private lobby does not verify anyone’s identity.

  • Launch Fall Guys and select Play.
  • Next, select Custom Games, then Host.
  • Choose My Levels and select a round you created.
  • If joining another host, select Play, Custom Games, then Join. Enter the host’s lobby code.

Why it matters: Keep the lobby code within the intended group and check who arrives. This route covers Creative rounds. It does not establish every child account’s hosting eligibility or replace parental chat permissions. A published round’s 12 digit Share Code identifies the round, while the host’s lobby code lets someone join the session. Do not confuse the two.

Community rounds need review independently of ordinary matchmaking. A familiar game can contain content created by another player.

  • During the round, open the menu.
  • Choose Offensive Content, then Round Content and complete the report.
  • After a round, you can also open Friends List, search for the creator, select More Options and Report.

Why it matters: Reporting asks Epic to investigate the content. Supervise unfamiliar rounds rather than treating a share code as a safety label.

Secure the Epic account used for Fall Guys

For families, protect the account and its linked email from fake reward offers. Another player never needs a login code to give normal game advice.

  • Open the Epic account’s Password and security page.
  • Under Two-Factor Authentication, select Set up for the chosen method.
  • Complete the code check and verify the confirmation. Keep recovery information private.

Why it matters: Secure linked console accounts separately. Cabined Accounts can have different available features until the guardian completes setup.

Review the consequences before deleting an Epic account

Finally, deleting the Epic account affects more than Fall Guys. It can remove purchases, progress and items across linked Epic games.

  • Sign in to the child’s Epic account and open Account settings.
  • Find Delete account and read the warning before deciding whether to continue.
  • If proceeding, follow the security code and reason prompts. Check the confirmation and cancellation instructions carefully.

Why it matters: Account deletion does not refund purchases. Epic’s help page gives differing timings within the article, so follow the actual confirmation and contact support if unclear.

How to Use Fall Guys Safely

For planned sessions, agree who can join the party and what happens if an unknown person arrives. Keep private codes within the intended group. In addition, explain that a cosmetic item or a win never justifies bullying, pressure to spend or moving a conversation into secret messages.

For parents, ask your child to show you a normal session. Review who joins, what they enjoy and what makes stopping difficult. In addition, practise leaving an uncomfortable interaction without arguing or explaining personal details.

Similarly, agree that an online friendship never requires secrecy, private photographs, money or contact through another app. A familiar username or impressive score does not prove someone’s age or identity. Keep school, home address and daily routines out of profiles and conversations.

Essential Safety Advice and Current Concerns

However, Fall Guys safety settings cannot judge another person’s intentions. Social pressure, sexual comments, threats and requests for private contact deserve attention even when a player seems friendly. Ask about behaviour rather than judging trust from an avatar, status badge or shared interests.

If someone threatens or sexually pressures a child, stay calm and listen. Stop contact, preserve relevant nonsexual messages where safe and use reporting tools. Do not download or forward sexual images of children. Reassure the child that asking for help will not get them into trouble.

In Ireland, contact An Garda Síochána about suspected grooming or exploitation. In an emergency, call 112 or 999. CODA education and website guidance do not replace an urgent safeguarding response.

For families, protect sleep, schoolwork, meals and time away from screens. Agree spending before opening the shop, and review pressure from limited offers or other players. If play repeatedly causes distress, discuss the pattern together and seek suitable support.

Platform Support and Regional Differences

Use Epic Games support for account, payment and moderation concerns. Keep the child’s account ID and receipts private. Console chat, payment approval and time limits need review through that platform as well. Epic’s Fortnite time limits should not be treated as a Fall Guys time limit.

For families in Ireland, the UK and the USA, Fall Guys safety settings can differ by account age, device and rollout. A store rating, account permission and identity check answer different questions. Therefore, inspect the actual child account rather than borrowing an adult login to bypass a restriction.

Fall Guys safety settings for saved Epic payments

A mobile or PC purchase may use Epic billing. Removing an Apple or Google card does not remove an Epic payment method.

  • Sign in to the paying Epic account and open Payment Settings.
  • Select the three dots beside the saved method, then Delete.
  • Select Delete in the confirmation and check the removal notice.

Why it matters: Epic’s payment removal instructions apply to that account. They do not remove a console card, cancel a subscription or stop spending an existing balance.

Fall Guys safety settings for purchase complaints

Identify the seller on the receipt before requesting a cash refund. A free game can still contain costly currency and items.

  • For an Epic receipt, read Epic’s refund policy and check the purchase’s refund classification.
  • For an eligible self service purchase, sign in to Epic, open Transactions, select the purchase and Refund if offered.
  • For support requests, open the Epic launcher account menu, then Settings, Support and Contact Us. On mobile, use the Account icon, Support, Epic Games Store and Contact Us.
  • For a console or another mobile store, follow the original seller’s refund support instead. Explain the issue and keep receipts private.

Why it matters: Currency, consumables and subscriptions are usually excluded, subject to applicable rights. Mobile and PC eligibility differ. Do not apply Fortnite’s item return tickets to Fall Guys or promise that deleting the app cancels billing.

Fall Guys parental controls across family devices

The game account does not replace the device’s family setup. Use the relevant instructions for each device the child actually uses.

Why it matters: Phone supervision does not automatically control a headset, console or another account. Also review that platform’s family settings. Existing balances, browser stores and external chat can remain available despite an app purchase block.

Fall Guys Safety Settings Checklist

  • First, confirm the correct age, account and device.
  • Next, review friends, group access and any external messaging apps.
  • In addition, check spending and time controls on every device used.
  • Practise leaving, muting and reporting together.
  • Finally, revisit Fall Guys safety settings after updates or changes to the account.

Fall Guys Safety Settings Questions

Do these settings guarantee safety?

No. Controls reduce particular risks, but another player can still lie, pressure or upset someone. Therefore, keep regular conversations alongside the settings and help the child seek support early. Never treat an age check as proof of good intentions.

Will one setting cover every device?

No. A child can use a different profile, device or payment service. For example, a phone spending restriction does not establish the same protection on a computer. Review linked accounts and the actual route your child uses to play.
